Pair of Teiza Isu Lounge Chairs by J. Sakakura and D. Choch, 1960

Pair of Teiza Isu Lounge Chairs by J. Sakakura and D. Choch, 1960

Pair of 'Teiza Isu' lounge chairs by Junzo Sakakura (1901-1969) and Daisaku Choh (1921-2014) for Tendo Mokko, designed in 1960s.

This chair was designed for the Japanese exhibition booth at the 12th Milano Triennale in 1960. It is the most representative chair of Choh’s design. At the time, Choh was working for the Sakakura Junzo Architecture Office. They worked on making the booth and wanted interior features such as the furniture and the lighting to also be designed by architects.

This set is an original and very unique/rare set, with Tendo Mokko label, in very good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use.
